Microstock users need better, faster workflow management tools.

The challenge: Integration of media-centric virtual asset management suite designed to maximize users’ investment and minimize creative processing cycles.

In line with the consistent growth in the global microstock imagery usage microstock users typically consume and retain large amounts of licensed media assets, as well as produce more and further diverse creative digital output. The dramatic increase in microstock-based creative files manifests itself in more drafts, file versions and intermediate previews for the benefit of end users.

The challenge for these client organizations is to keep their image libraries efficiently organized, easily accessible and ready for consistent reuse. Media assets, both purchased and processed in-house, must be effectively indexed, cataloged, stored, retrievable and periodically backed up. Consequently, to protect and maximize their investment in microstock imagery, creative managers need updated and real-time visibility for each individual media asset, including when and how it was used, which versions are in stock, and the updated status of respective legal right for further utilization. Respective media files must therefore be governed by set policy-based usage permissions as well as by strict content security rules.
To achieve the required high level of operational visibility and efficiency microstock assets need to be managed by comprehensive data base applications specifically developed for this type of business and creative work-flow.
